Harris County Sheriff’s Office uses one of their five CCS Mobile Emergency Response Center (MERC) trailers as a mobile 911 Center. As part of this solution, a large Zumro inflatable shelter can be set up to serve as the operation base for fifty 911 call center operators.
The New York National Guard deployed their fleet of Mobile Emergency Response Center (MERC) units immediately after Hurricane Sandy to assist in coordinating their response efforts. The lights on the MERC tower really aided them as they provided gasoline for portable generators to some of the residents of New York and New Jersey.
The Kentucky National Guard used their Mobile Emergency Response Center (MERC) trailers to respond to multiple tornado outbreaks as well as numerous winter ice storms. These small tactical units allowed them to deploy a much need mobile communication network in the middle of the devastation and provide power and lighting for day and night operation.
