CCS has been providing support for the California National Guard at Camp Roberts in San Miguel, CA. The exercise started on Thursday Jan 26th and ran through Sunday Jan. 29th. Our role in the exercise was to assist in providing network connectivity for the Guard into their staging building and to provide collaboration tools including radio interoperbaility utizilizing our MERC-JPS PERC kits and a Mutualink IWS system in our MERC-Lite satcom trailer. We utilized multiple satellite units (both fly away and roof mount) to provide a satellite backhaul and Pepwave multi sim routers configured with sims from AT&T FirstNet, T-Mobile, and Verizon. The concept was to “only use assets that you have brought with you” and to not be able to tie into the local network at Camp Roberts. Appreciate the support of Sat-Lite Communications, JPS, Mutualink, and IP Acess International for some of the support we needed to pull this off. The mission has been a sucess with over 200 soldiers supported by this network during the exercise. There were multiple mobile command center trailers at the exercise and several fly away satellite systems.
The California National Gaurd is not the only activity CCS has ongoing in California. The Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (OES) has contracted with us to build out three of our MERC mobile command center trailers to assist them in their emergency response efforts for the State. These new mobile command centers will be equipped with 8 Motorola APEX radios, 4 Harris VHF radios, 1 HF radio, a JPS interoperbaility server, a Dejero multi SIM LTE router, a Ground Control 1.2 meter VSAT, a 30 foot Fireco pneumatic mast, Cisco 24 port POE switch, a 7,000 watt generator, climate control, and internal work space. We are very excited to be partnering with the OES Team and look forward to working with as they expand on the invaluable support services they provide to the State every year. This was a joint project with our friends and partners at IP Access International.
CCS continues to expand on our focus on more than just mobile command center trailers and vehicles. We continue to manuafcture and provide our MERC-V video surviellance trailers, MERC-LPR Licnese Recognition Trailers, expand our our PERC Portable Emergency Response Centers, integrate video wall baords into EOCs and Real Time Crime Centers, help to grow the National Mutaulink network, offer solutions for school safety, co-develop products for radio interoperability with JPS, and so much more.
