The MERC-COW is a modified version of our MERC-Lite trailer that is designed to serve a “small cell” deployable unit. The MERC-COW can be equipped as a small traditional cell unit or a FirstNet LTE deployable unit to provide Cellular and LTE service in areas where there is no signal or poor signal strength. The small size of the unit allows it’s to be deployed by as little as one technician and with the hydraulic fold-over mast version it can towed through most standard parking garages for a roof deployment. A garage deployment combines the height of the structure with the height to the mast to extend your area of coverage.
This vehicle is powered by a Cummins Onan 12,000 watt Quiet Diesel generator with a 91 gallon fuel tank, but an optional LP style generator is available. A VSAT auto acquire satellite system allows it to offer network access anywhere in the world providing a network connection that can be linked with a service provider to redistribute the cellular and/or LTE signal in an area with no coverage. A 40 foot pneumatic mast equipped with removable antenna arms provides a platform to mount antennas and video surveillance equipment to remotely monitor the MERC unit. . A GPS tracking system provides remote monitoring of the MERC Lite for location tracking purposes and attempted theft alerts.
This MERC package combined with the shelter provides us a response package that can be fully deployed in less than 30 minutes anywhere we need it!
The MERC Lite satellite trailer worked perfectly during our 3 day response. The generator provided continuous power allowing us to stay in constant contact with the responding Guardsmen.
The MERC Lite satellite trailers worked great during our support of the relief efforts providing mobile communications, a climate controlled shelter, and lighting for night time operations.
