It was a quick three days in San Antonio at the 2019 TDEM Conference, but very beneficial. It was well attended by First Responders from all over the State of Texas and even from other States. It was a great opportunity for CCS to get some “face time” for our new MERC-UASC drone deployment trailer and the PERC (Portable Emergency Response Center). There were over 2,000 folks at the conference and we were all treated to San Antonio hospitality, great food, and weather.

CCS booth setup this year at TDEM.

There were a good number of mobile command centers on display including some built by CCS. We had a good number of our partners in our booth with us including Mike Butler from Bearcom Wireless, Trent Baer from Zumro Air Shelters, Roman Kaluta from JPS Interoperability, Brian Anderson from Avaya’s Public Safety Team, Michael Weaver and Bryan Hill from IP Access International, Sarah Liggett and Kelly Adley from AT&T FirstNet, as well as product from Mutualink and Fortress UAV. I really appreciate their help in setting up and tearing down the booth and a special thanks to Debbie Tanner-Jacobs for her help as well.

TX DPS (a CCS customer) was set up right beside our booth.

The TDEM group did a great job organizing the event and we look forward to the show again in 2020!

The MERC-UASC drone deployment unit is a small trailer that provides a drone pilot a climate controlled cockpit area to fly their drone with all the technology they need at their fingertips. The rear of the unit is plexiglass allowing the pilot to maintain line of sight with the drone.
