Ten years ago in 2016 we delivered our first two MERC-LITE satcom trailers with Zumro Air Shelters to the Dominican Republic. Almost ten years later to the day we had their Ministry of Defense at our facility in Ft. Worth today for an inspection on their 3rd and newest MERC-LITE and Zumro Air Shelter. These trailers have been a real work horse for our customers over the past 20 years combining their compact size with 63u of rack space for advanced comm gear installs and a custom Zumro Air Shelter that is designed to attach to the rear of the trailer to provide a climate controlled work space with full access to all three IT racks. These trailers work especially well in Central and South America because larger command centers can not always safely navigate the narrow streets and low hanging trees and power lines. CCS will be traveling to the Dominican in a few weeks to train the soldiers assigned to this unit. The best complement a customer can pay you is “repeat business” and the Dominican Military has been a great customer and friend over the years. More to follow on this project after the training in a few weeks!

In addition to the MERC units we have provided to the Dominican Republic, CCS has also delivered MERC units and Zumro Air Shelters to Peru, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, and Puerto Rico. We are currently under contract with Chile for some more units and expect to schedule that delivery in late June. One of the reasons for the success of these projects is the very detailed training we provide these customers in country. CCS sends a 3 man team to the customer location and we spend a full week with them on how to deploy, store, operate, and maintain these MERC units. We cover everything from programming the cellular router, controlling the cameras, servicing the generator, cleaning and lubricating the mast, repairing the Zumro shelter, etc.. By the time we leave the country, we want these men and women to be as knowledgeable on these trailers as we are.

More to follow on these projects in the coming months.
