June 1st signals the start of Hurricane Season and as usual CCS is extremely busy getting mobile command centers ready for our customers. FEMA has contracted with CCS to do upgrades and renovations to three of their mobile command centers that they keep at the Denton, TX facility in Region 6. CCS also recently completed a new MERC mobile command center for Oncor Energy which they use during emergency response situations that affect the power grid and lines. Unfortunately in Texas with the recent tornado outbreak in North Texas and some very damaging storms with 80 mph straight line winds they have been busy.
Our presence in the Oil & Gas Market continues to grow as we are building out MERC mobile command centers for Site Watch and Ground Control. These units are typically smaller mobile command centers for one or two users at a drill site, but they provide the network connectivity (LTE and satellite) to make sure these sites are connected and can be monitored remotely. A lot of these fracking locations are set up at very remote locations with no LTE service.
CCS has expanded our footprint and has opened an office in Colorado Springs with our partners at Colorado Standby. This will allow us to have a local presence in this beautiful state and provide local service and support for CCS customers. Much more detail on this new venture in the upcoming weeks.
